np: Texas-Inner Smile
ok for those who dont like football, you can just not read this post.
the weekend wasnt perfect in footballing terms...i thought we had slipped up big time when we could only draw with boro...i thought chelsea were certain to beat newcastle. but football always surprises us when we dont expect it...newcastle held chelsea to a draw and now its all square again. apparently ryan giggs text messaged nicky butt to ask him to do man utd a favour and keep chelsea at bay. nicky butt=legend.
today morning...430am...was the most heartstopping game i've watched in a long long long time. manchester united vs AC Milan at Old Trafford, Champions League semi final.
5th min: Ronaldo goal Man utd 1 Milan 0
22nd min: Kaka goal Man utd 1 Milan 1
37th min: Kaka goal Man utd 1 Milan 2
59th min: Rooney goal Man utd 2 Milan 2
91st min: Rooney goal Man utd 3 Milan 2
omggggggggggg i swear my heart was pumping so hard it started to hurt. brilliant game. man utd had an injury ravaged defence...rio, neville, vidic all injured. so we put out oshea,brown,heinze and evra. not our best defence BY FAR. and Kaka's 2 goals. massive defensive lapses...
but man utd's attacking players...what can i say about them. carrick fletcher scholes ronaldo rooney giggs. brilliant play in the second half...fletch was man of the match if you ask me. tackling shooting passing running running and more running. i cant even write about the game coherently, it was THAT good.
conceding 2 away goals was NOT what we wanted, but if we go to milan and just attack-unleash our wingers on them (they have a wide pitch and an ancient defence) and show some whisper of a defence next week...i think we can go through...i really really do. and if we dont...well at least we went down fighting. from the group stages to the semi finals in one season is something to be proud of.
manchester united will be the death of me...i seriously think i will die cheering during one of their games. but what a happy death it will be.
